Depression Therapy

“You are Strong, yet some things in life require more than one person to solve. You don’t have to keep pretending you’re okay”.

When even getting through the day feels like too much

Depression doesn’t always look like tears or dramatic breakdowns. Sometimes, it’s waking up and feeling nothing. It’s moving through your day on autopilot, smiling when you have to, and crashing the second you’re alone. The exhaustion never seems to lift — mentally, physically, and emotionally.

You might be thinking:

  • “I should be able to handle this.”

  • “I feel so disconnected, but I don’t know how to fix it.”

  • “Everyone else seems to be doing fine — why can’t I?”

Whether you’re in a full fog or just not feeling like yourself anymore, depression can make life feel flat, heavy, and hopeless.

But it doesn't have to stay this way.

What Depression Feels Like

Depression is more than just sadness. It can show up as:

  • Fatigue and lack of motivation

  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

  • Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy

  • Increased irritability or numbness

  • Feeling like a burden to others

  • Changes in sleep or appetite

  • Constant self-criticism or guilt

It can feel like your spark is gone — like you’re watching your life from the outside.

You're Not Lazy. You're Struggling — and Deserving of Help.

Depression distorts your view of yourself and the world. It convinces you that you’re failing, when in reality, you’re surviving something really hard. Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself, understand your patterns, and find real relief — not just a quick fix, but meaningful healing.

How I Help Clients with Depression

My role isn’t to “fix” you — because you’re not broken. My job is to walk alongside you as we:

  • Identify root causes (emotional, relational, biological, or circumstantial)

  • Explore negative thought patterns and inner narratives

  • Develop skills to shift out of survival mode

  • Rebuild routines and relationships that support your mental health

  • Learn how to regulate emotion and energy gently — not through force

My Approach

I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach that combines:

🧠 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Identify and challenge distorted thinking

  • Build more realistic, supportive beliefs

⚖️ Lifestyle Mapping

  • Gently rebuild routines around sleep, nutrition, movement, and purpose

  • Explore patterns that might be deepening the depression cycle

🌿 Mindfulness-Based Interventions

  • Learn to sit with difficult emotions instead of avoiding them

  • Create more space between feeling and reaction

🧩 Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Get to know the different "parts" of you — the inner critic, the avoider, the people-pleaser, the exhausted one

  • Understand how these parts are trying to protect you, even if their methods are no longer helpful

  • Develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself by leading with your core Self — calm, curious, and caring

Healing is Possible

It’s okay if things feel heavy right now. You don’t have to know exactly what’s wrong to reach out. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

You’re worthy of support. Of joy. Of coming back to life again.
